November 11, 2008 — Veterans and others paid tribute to the day for all veterans, in word and song. The Veterans Day 2008 celebration video is above, unedited and uncut, with all of its glory. Be led with the Pledge of Allegiance by Andrew Litavis, after he quotes Red Skelton. Hear Richard Brault give the invocation, Suzanne Whalen welcome the group, and Keelin Bannon read the touching In Flanders Field. Eric Sonnett, Mike Shepard give a few stirring words. Then Mallory Bannon reads aloud the names of those who have passed peacefully in the last year, and Emily Crain sings, Proud to be an American. |
