Unless the rules have changed the courses you take during the summer are paid for by the town and if you receive CAGS in certain areas you will receive a pay increase. Why do teachers always say the could make double in the private sector? What do those teaching degrees qualify a teacher to do other than teach? That is not a slam but reality. A law degree qualifies you for law, not genetic engineering. On top of that, in the private sector, you would not be protected by a union.
